Philip has over twenty five years experience in the financial services and business sector. During this time he has set-up and run multimillion pound turnover companies advising both individuals and corporations. He has advised on the tax efficient structuring for purchase and disposal of various assets including property, media and renewable energy companies. Philip has various business interests and still enjoys the active management of companies to help them grow and realise their potential.
Philip lives in Central London and has four children. His interests include football, cricket, rugby, music, socialising, skiing and snooker.
Nick has been involved in financial services since 1984, covering a wide range of roles. Initially focusing on client advisory and wealth management services extending to private equity, property transactions and tax structuring for a wide range of clients, both in the UK and internationally. He has run several companies in various business sectors.
He is one of the founding partners of Newport Tax Management LLP (NTM) which was established in 2012. Nick has a deep understanding of the structuring that has been utilized in implementing tax enhanced investment schemes and has a close working relationship with many of NTM’s clients. NTM is actively working to resolve complex issues for its clients, and to seek redress where appropriate. NTM has arranged numerous group actions and Nick has been instrumental in formulating strategies, arranging litigation funding and working closely with legal advisors and others to secure the best outcomes for its clients.
Nick lives in Surrey, is married with grown up children and enjoys skiing, golf, cycling, rugby and developing his culinary skills.
Mark is a chartered certified accountant and has spent the majority of his career working in the media and financial services industries. For the last sixteen years he has been working for a number of alternative investment management companies.
Initially working with Grosvenor Park in their film production and tax related divisions, Mark was responsible for the financial completion of both their tax deferral funds and all their film productions/co-productions, working closely with the senior management, external advisors and producers to ensure that the various film projects were completed both within budget and time to maximise the various avenues for exploitation.
Most recently, Mark was based at the market leading alternative investment manager, Ingenious Investments, employed as Head of Fund Reporting. His main responsibilities included the timely and accurate reporting of fund information as well as providing decision making and financial support to the various operational teams across the division. In addition, Mark also headed up the Group Credit Control team (reporting directly to the Group Board) managing loan books in excess of £55m.
Mark also worked closely with the Ingenious Technical and Commercial teams, specifically with regards to indirect tax and secondary planning issues providing advice and support to the individual fund heads and corporate teams across all Ingenious corporate and fund related matters.
Director of Client Services
Stephen has worked in the finance industry for over 10 years, starting his career at Mercer Human Resource Consulting as a Pensions Executive. He moved to become a Pensions Manager at Crown Agents Ltd, organising international payments for over 15,000 pensions.
At Newport, Stephen works closely with clients, providing help and assistance with the ongoing management of action groups and tax management strategies.
Stephen lives in London, he is a keen music fan and enjoys gigs and festivals.
Rachel has worked in financial services since finishing university over a decade ago. Rachel’s background is in data management and IT solutions and has extensive experience in managing SME IT systems.
At Newport, Rachel manages the entire IT infrastructure and is the “go to” person when any issues arise. Rachel is instrumental in the collection, storage, analysis and dissemination of all data for use in the various actions groups.
Rachel loves being outdoors, walking, camping and running and has recently start ticking off the Munro’s up in Scotland.
Eva joined the Newport group of partnerships in September 2016. With an MSc (Hons) Finance and CIMA Dip MA qualification, she brings over two decades of experience in managing business finances and many years of accounts leadership in a variety of fast-growing companies with complex structures, whilst being very ‘hands on’ in the process.
She promotes full-time focus and discipline to the finance function in terms of timely internal and statutory reporting, budgeting and cash-flow forecasting for both Newport and its related businesses.
In her leisure time Eva enjoys spending time with family and friends, visiting new places, travelling to sunny landscapes and skiing.
Client Services Manager
Niamh joined the Client Services team at Newport in 2017, providing support and guidance to new and existing clients. She is now responsible for helping clients resolve their tax affairs and deals directly with third parties to get the best outcome for our clients.
Niamh lives in London with her family and enjoys socialising, fashion and travelling to new places.
Client Relations Officer
Jenny joined Newport in 2015, 3 years after she began working in financial services. Initially Jenny worked on the financial management side of Newport, however she now works alongside Stephen and Jaimie in the Client Services team.
Jenny lives in London and enjoys travelling the world, fashion and socialising.
Client Relations Administrator
Jaimie joined Newport in August 2018, after a gap year from her studies, as a new member of the Client Services team alongside Jenny and Stephen. She assists clients with any administration and queries.
Jaimie is studying for a degree in Criminal Psychology alongside her work at Newport and enjoys spending time with her friends.
